David S. Iannucci, an attorney with the Firm’s Government Relations Practice Group, assists clients advising on economic development matters. Mr. Iannucci has vast and significant knowledge of the economic development aspects and processes in Maryland. Over the last 50 years he has navigated government real estate and economic development projects in a myriad of ways. Prior to joining our Firm, David was the President and CEO of the Prince George’s Economic Development Corporation where he led and managed the County’s agency for seven years.
His background also expanses his experience in serving as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, Chief Legislative Officer to the Governor of Maryland, Executive Director of the Baltimore County Department of Economic Development, and he served as Assistant Deputy Chief Administrative Officer under former County Executive Rushern Baker.
In Prince George’s County, Mr. Iannucci played a prominent role with the County’s key initiatives such as the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters, the University of Maryland Medical Center, the Purple Line, multiple Transit Oriented Development projects, and the County’s covid business relief efforts. Mr. Iannucci was part of Governor Schaefer’s team that successfully advocated for legislative authorization for Camden Yards. Under his leadership as Secretary, Morgan Stanley was convinced to locate new offices in Baltimore City. Mr. Iannucci has led and participated in economic development missions to China, Japan, Brazil, India, the U.K, France, and Germany.
Mr. Iannucci is a 1979 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law, and a 1974 graduate of the University of Maryland College Park. David S. Iannucci is also a former President of the Maryland Economic Development Association and is a member of the MEDA Hall of Fame.
