VaLiesha M. Brown is a member of the Firm’s Administrative Law and Government Relations Practice Group, where she concentrates her practice in land use & zoning, government relations and administrative proceedings.  Working closely with the Firm’s senior Administrative Law and Government Relations attorneys, Ms. Brown is involved in all areas of the Firm’s practice group.

Prior to joining O’Malley, Miles, Nylen & Gilmore, P.A., Ms. Brown developed a strong background in research and problem-solving as the law clerk for the Honorable Robert C. Nalley, Associate Judge of the Charles County 7^th Judicial Circuit.  As a law clerk, Ms. Brown worked closely with the Judge, hearing and reviewing both criminal and civil matters. Ms. Brown was the chamber’s point of contact for attorneys, parties to cases, and otherwise interested community members.  In the past, Ms. Brown served as an intern at the Washington State House of Representatives; was a law clerk for the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, and spent a summer as a fellow with the national Education Pioneers program. 

Ms. Brown graduated from Howard University School of Law where she was a merit fellow, a J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association Scholar and a Public Interest Law Society scholar.   While in law school, Ms. Brown was President of the Goler T. Butcher International Moot Court Team; and a student attorney in the Criminal Justice legal clinic.  Ms. Brown received her B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Ms. Brown is currently active in the Maryland State Bar Association, the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, and the Prince George's and Charles County Bar Associations.  She is admitted to practice in Maryland.
