John C. Fredrickson is a senior litigator who
handles all types of complex commercial, banking, administrative and
business matters. Mr.
Fredrickson also oversees the Firm’s extensive recovery and collections
practice. During his twenty-five
years of experience as a litigator, Mr. Fredrickson has tried cases at both
the trial and appellate court levels in most of the jurisdictions in
Mr. Fredrickson believes that understanding a
client’s business and its objectives is critical to the design of an
appropriate litigation strategy.
Adherence to this approach has enabled Mr. Fredrickson to obtain results for
his clients that often exceed their expectations.
For example, in the context of a condemnation case that typically
results in only a monetary award for the land owner, Mr. Fredrickson was
able to obtain significant money damages as well as exactions from the
State, including the reconfiguration of streets along with expanded grading
and other activities that were designed to benefit the future business and
development plans of his client.
Mr. Fredrickson’s scope of representation for his
business clients is broad and includes such matters as contract disputes,
tortious interference with business relations, and corporate, partnership
and shareholder disputes. Mr.
Fredrickson has successfully obtained punitive damages in the context of
business and shareholder disputes where such awards are rarely granted by
the courts. Additionally, Mr.
Fredrickson regularly assists his banking clients with efficient loan
documentation and asset recovery.
